Paris is a fantastic city for tourists. Shops don't usually open on Sundays though. Many shopkeepers and business people speak some English. Of course I’ll remind Jim and Tina to load up French Translator / Dictionary on their smart phones.

They have some fantastic sightseeing ahead of them. Hopefully they will look out for pickpockets and not get ripped off at the markets.

To experience the wonder at Paris of night, I have booked Tina and Jim  on a Paris by Night  cruise. The cruise will take them through Paris and, while they drink French champagne, they will admire the magnificent lights of the city reflected in the river Seine. They’ll also be visiting the magnificent Louvre museum, the palace at Versailles, the Musee de Orsee, The Crypt of Notre Dame, the Père Lachaise Cemetery, Skip the line: Eiffel Tower Tickets and District Tour, various Gardens including Luxembourg Gardens, The Tuileries Garden as well as shopping and markets adventures. I hope they have their fun pants on!

Travel around Paris is easy and cheap! A taxi is the quickest way to get from the airport to the hotel, though a bus or train ride may be a little cheaper (and slower.) I have budgeted for Jim and Tina to buy a 10 day Paris Visite card. These cards offer terrific value! For 10 days Jim and Tina will have unlimited access to all Paris and suburban transport. The Paris L’Open Tour Hop-on Hop-off is also a great way to see the city sights. This bus tour operates from early morning to late at night and travels constantly around Paris. Jim and Tina will be able to get on and off at their leisure. When Travelling around Paris if you see them drop some rubbish in the gutter do not follow their example. Be a responsible traveled. Also be kind and greet everyone you meet such as the shopkeeper, this is good manners. Say thank you or goodbye when leaving a shop or restaurant, this is also kind.

To get to cafes, restaurants and other places not routed on buses or tours I recommend hiring a bike or walking - the late Spring weather should be perfect for either!

Jim and Tina will be staying at Comfort Hotel Villepinte-Sevran which will cost A$761 for two adults in one room for 12 nights, checking in on the 2nd of May and checking out on the 14th of May. This is a very affordable hotel which is located not far from the centre of the city  For the first night of their holiday, which is to be spent in Hong Kong, they will be staying at Comfort Hotel Villepinte-Sevran which will cost A$112 for two people in one room for one night.  I chose this because it fits within their budget.

There are a few ways of getting from Brisbane to Paris the most popular however, is flying . Flying is the quickest and most comfortable way to travel internationally. I am sending Jim and Tina on Cathay Pacific Airways in economy standard (there were cheaper tickets but they will be on the plane for a long time) on May 1st 2014 From Brisbane to Hong Kong from 10:55-17:55, then on May 2nd From Hong Kong to Paris from 00:05-06:40. After they have had their holiday I am sending them from Paris to Hong Kong on the 14th of May at 13:15. They will arrive in Hong Kong at 06:45 the next morning. Their plane from Hong Kong to Brisbane leaves at 12:50 and will get there around 23:25 that night. This will cost approximately $5,948.44 for two people. Getting to the airport quite some time before their plane is due to leave is a good idea so even if customs or traffic isn’t on their side they will still make their plane. I suggest Jim and Tina take something to do as they will be on the plane for quite a while: perhaps they could brush up on their French as the locals may not want to speak English if they have not attempted to communicate with them in their own language.

Jim and Tina have decided to take a break from work and have come to me to design them a holiday trip. They have $10,000 saved for the trip and 15 days of leave to take the trip.

I have decided to send them to Paris- the city of light. I am sending them in late Spring as I believe the weather is nicest then.

Overall with all the excursions, activities, food, drinks, accommodation, flights and spending money the trip should cost approximately $9,745. They're getting a bargain holiday - one they'll remember for the rest of their lives!
